Now that Aug 24 has come and gone and Kenmore has not been sold, are the SHC employees and store associates supposed to contribute towards operating cost as SHC has run out of cash. Could we donate the unused SYW points instead of our cash.

To Mr. "Then you move"...obviously you lack the empathy and education to realize it takes a considerable amount of savings to relocate.
I just bought a handful of magic beans with SYW points. Now there's a big ol' beanstalk growing in my back yard. After I put in my 4 hours this week, I'm gonna climb that s---er and see if anyone up there is hiring!

No way they can pay any worker in points unless we said agree to it If Sears paid me with points I would either see if I can file a law suit or quit on the spot this would be ridiculous.

Seems like Sears Holdings is trying to f--- over more than just it's vendors now with false promises. Now they are attempting to get free labor.

@UQmmuua-1nsq I did the same thing and paid my ATT Bill and last months mortgage payment with SYW points. These points are going to become the new cash
I called comcast to pay my bill and ask them if they would take 200,000 points instead of cash. They put me on hold to speak to their supervisor and came back and said no problem. I love SYW

To most of you'll who say the payment of SWY point in lieu of cash for payroll is useless have you'll really tried using it. I was able to clear my balance on the Sears 1234 card using the SWY points. And to top it SWY points are tax exempt as only cash can be taxed. Come on guys cheer up.
I don't think SYW points are enough to pay associates rent and bills.
Why don't people want to get paid in SYW points instead of cash?

Then you move. Hard to believe sears or kmart are the only employers in town. But if that is the case, you will be moving soon cause those stores will be gone.
Iuhu, ipsl isn't the loser here...calling someone a loser because in some areas of this country, it will always be difficult to find full time employment, is pretty childish.
Unfortunately, SYW points are useless in the real world.....I can not pay my electric bill with SYW points.....I cannot pay my school property tax bill with SYW points....I cannot pay my car insurance bill with SYW points....so a paycheck in SYW points would be totally useless to me.

If they do this at both Sears and Kmarts you'll see so much people quitting it won't even be funny.
Sears should just shut down operations like yesterday. This is getting embarrassing and sad. I guess we will see what other rabbits they can pull up their hat this week.
I wonder why these people don't come to the realization that there are alternatives to working at Sears. You aren't being held hostage, make the effort to find other employment....

Actually I heard someone at higher level came up with that idea couple years back, to pay associate in points. Not all paycheck in points but part of it. It was shot down quick by the legal team.
So it was no joke to read something like this.
Yes the legal department said if the associate agrees to it and signs the disclosure they can give point for cash

They will not be able to make the payroll in a couple weeks. This is no joke but there has been talk to offer SYW points to associates if they will take that instead of cash. They were talking about giving double the amount in points for it.
