"Being bitter has nothing to do with it. Just stating facts. There were seasoned engineers, CPAs, and Phd's that were deemed replaceable. and were sh*t canned with the interns."
Dude, you have serious comprehension problems. No wonder the powers-that-be will be dumping you because you've got serious communications issues. I wasn't even denying that everybody is ultimately replaceable. We're all replaceable. But, Mr. A Whole, I'll give another shot explaining things to you: I never said anything about thinking I’m safe just because I’m a new hire. As for you being bitter, of course you are. Or else you wouldn't be running back here in your hysterics. You just don't realize it because you've been drinking the funny stuff to deny yourself from seeing who you really are.
"Your developer job will get outsourced eventually."
Of course it will. All these high tech companies are doing it. But for now, I along with other new talent in cloud computing are being brought on board because, at this stage, the company values what we bring to the table. Listen pal, I've been laid off before. I know what it's like. And as I came on board here at Siemens, I've already got my exit plans in the works--because anything can happen. At the same time, I can see why all those seasoned engineers, CPAs, and Phds you mentioned were canned. I see a lot of old time dinosaurs here at Siemens who are set in their ways. Things move so slow here because these old timers can't innovate. We're talking grandpa-looking people. You're probably one of them, considering that you sound like an angry old man. Have a good life, pal.
