VI for all products moving to BDC

VI will be finally transferred in 2Q of 2019, all teams in SD will be let go by then. Prepare for that. I am really sorry for all my friends there.

@mmm that sounds like a plan. The custom SDM cores aren't any better than the stock ARM cores in Huawei and Samsung chips. The modem is the difference in the SOC.

Q can not compete from an expense POV with China and other companies. SOC management is pushing a plan to license ALL cores except modem and do all front end get used to the idea, start training your low cost replacements.

I start getting many phones calls from temp agencies for VI jobs for 12-24 months. I believe this is the end of VI in San Diego. Somehow OP is right.
