Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Stop whining

No wonder Windstream is failing if this is the kind of people it employs.

It's so easy to complain about those making decisions when you don't have the fate of entire company to think about.

How about everybody start working harder and complaining less and maybe we'll start to see some results.

The world will only continue to get worse. They need to cut more employees. All these people complaining about more work, but my sales quota increased every year. Sales has been living this 5 years.

'Stop whining'

Sounds like a clueless director/VP. If the people making decisions COULD make some sensible ones, things wouldn't be as bad as they are. You VP's have nobody to blame but yourselves. And I am pretty certain that there will be more 'investigations' to occur in the near future. ;)

Work harder = Work for free. I'm not seeing any sacrifices by the upper management. BTW - GFY.

If you don’t work at WS get the F off of our layoff site. We are tired of the BS from day to day.

Hmmm whining, you must not be in a position where other work loads are not being dumped on you, so lets see my original job was to install data networks MPLS,EIA,COE,and VOIP with phone systems for customers, Today, My job exists of coordinating with the customer to see if wiring is sufficient , and sure we have enough outside cable in place for the customers upgrade or new service and if fiber is being installed help transport to decide what fiber pairs are available and if a CWDM needs to be installed, went form installing the equipment doing test and turn up... TOOOOO engineer the job making sure wiring is sufficient do the install test and turn up, then doing all of customers LAN issues due to customer has no IT, and sales said we can take care of the issues, Lets not forget all the SD WAN crap that you ship to the customer and they have no idea what to do.. but who is whining.. ???? and lets make sure we meet the Metric that has been put in place to do an install, long as it looks good on PAPER? Everyone is already doing the work of 4 people. If I was hourly I'd be making 150K a year. We're all fixing to be doing the work of 5 people after the next round of lay offs. Know what happens when you do that? The employee makes mistakes and moral suffers, the network suffers, that trickles down and makes customers unhappy and they leave. Its pretty basic and if you don't think its happening you are a fool my friend. I know there is a goal in mind (at least I think, hope and pray there is) but taking a little longer to reach said goal while keeping employees the network and customers happy is a better way to go rather then rushing into everything like a bull in a china shop and whilly nilly buying companies without having all of the others integrated and yet still trying to keep the stock above $1 after the split. Last week it was plummeting........

How about you treat us civilly and not like dogs? Can't talk honestly on Stream, so we go where we can. If you don't like the complaints, how about you not come here or you go and fix your failing company.
