5 Year Goal?

What's the 5 year layoff goal for DFW heads?

Around 1000 remaining in DFW (so around 10% of the company in DFW and 90% offshore)?

Or less than 1000 in DFW?

The H1B jobs are pinned to the wall near the Dr office and snack food on the ground floor of building B. Check them out. Job descriptions and salaries posted so US citizens can apply. If you can find a US citizen to do the job then the H1B will not be hired. There is about 15 jobs posted there right now. If you want to change something then do something about it.

It is so unfortunate that sabre takeout all citizens out and hire h1b and process them green cards. Not sure how they are saving money with this. Targeting citizens is very bad.

There’s a lot of truth in this, and while its hard to pinpoint exit times exactly. I think 9-12 months is fair for SM. (notification at 9). DS, i think can boil it out 2-3 years more, IF he gets stronger on the sales side. If he doesnt, he’ll be SM’s first excuse of failure to the board. Ultimately the board wont stand for consistent anemic sales growth (nor will stockholders) and the glitter of tweaking numbers for quarterly’s will grow thinner and bland. Nothing pop’s a cherry like awesome sales growth. You need awesome products, product pipeline and great people to achieve that. If Else = Sears

Tenure has always been an issue. Historically SM is about 6 months out from leaving and DS is about a year out.

I don't think this fits into the Presidents plan on keeping jobs in America. We should bring this to his attention...that his plan is not working.

There are probably around 3000 US employees. There were 1000 people at the Global Leadership Summit 5 months ago. Half of them were not based in the US.

Leadership positions are being eliminated in the US and that rehiring is outside the US. Junior positions are being eliminated in the US and that rehiring is outside the US also. The baby boomers will almost all retire within the next 5 years.

Cut 20% from the US per year and the number in the US will be well under 1000 within 5 years. All without triggering a WARN.

If the HDQ buildings were restacked there would be an empty floor now. A cut of 20% per year will eliminate the need for both of the HDQ buildings after 3 years. The remaining HDQ people can be moved to Westlake. Then both HDQ buildings can be sold. The original plan of 8 HDQ buildings housing 10000 people was in a very different world.

Or maybe it will be exactly the same in 5 years as it is today. Who knows...
