If you turn down an unreasonable job offer (involving distance greater than a certain amount), you qualify for involuntary severance.
TRebraK-1zia - each transition plan is unique. I believe, in this case, the information /TRebraK-sid provided is correct. If you indicated you’d be willing to relocate to a particular place and you turn down an offer there, you do not receive severance. Can anyone confirm?
@TRebraK-sid False. If you get a job offer that is farther than 10 miles away you can turn it down and still get severance.

You only get involuntary severance if you get no offer or assignment. If you get an assignment or an offer you must take that or resign. If you said you were willing to move you must move or there is no severance. You cannot voluntarily sever and get severance pay.
Wave 2 employee here. Kept my job and am moving as are a few of my colleagues. Others were laid off in my area. Mixed bag and mixed emotions in IT. Lots of armed security. Heavy news being delivered to a lot of people today.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. But I thought people were being brought in individually and alphabetically starting today at 10am and being notified. It could take until Thursday to find out.
They were supposed to cut 890 in Systems in Bloomington today. With several moving to the hubs. I wonder if they will publish actual numbers ?
This is on top of the 600 or so Systems leaders and analysts impacted by P&M
