Has anyone heard if any teleworker roles are safe? I’m referring to individuals who work virtually out of their homes for Corporate roles.

There are still quite a few people who work from home in Agency/Marketing. I am so sorry for those who have lost their jobs for this reason alone. The inconsistency is sickening.
Apparently, Ashley also hates being fiscally responsible. I still can't figure out why she hasn't been terminated.

Some 900 year old senior exec has a real grudge against working from home. Other than claims people who do in person claims crap, there are almost no full time work from home positions across the whole enterprise anymore.
Because sitting in a cubicle is 100% the best solution for every worker... Ugh.
Well, either way, I can confirm many teleworkers were definitely eliminated from Systems last year. Maybe they all weren't. It's not like anyone ran the final tallies by me or my manager.
But I know my manager informed me at the time that I had dodged a bullet. Had a been a teleworker when all this was happening, I would have been history.
This confusion is probably the result of all the different departments and whatever exceptions people manged to carve out. Ever since CDE, I can't even keep track of what's considered "Systems" and what's not, what with ISD and Digital and God knows what else floating around out there clogging up the works. Keep in mind, I was remote so I really only paid attention to what impacted me at the project level. All the strange flights of fancy dreamed up by the executives, I tried very hard not to let deter me from getting my work done.
Right around the time that the Kansas City office closed, there was a rule put into effect (early 2017 maybe) that anyone not working in an official State Farm office either had to go work in one, or they would be eliminated. So apparently this mysterious teleworker you speak of managed to escape the noose. Every teleworker I know in Systems was eliminated over a year ago.
There were plenty of remote workers. In fact, there still are (in the areas that were not impacted by the recent cuts).
Perhaps your teleworkers just weren't in the impacted areas. I have no idea. All I know is that the elimination of teleworkers in general (within Systems) happened a long a-- time ago.
I also repeat: systems teleworkers and remote workers (with few exceptions) had a QTD date as of last Friday. There most certainly were teleworkers still in systems until last week.
I can see where the confusion came from here, as I started it. I originally said (several posts down) that I was a teleworker. I was not. I was a remote worker, as the last guy stated.
This has been explained before, but the difference is that teleworkers tended to work from home, whereas remote workers worked in geographically remote locations from their teams that were nevertheless at an official statefarm facility.
So, a Systems employee working out of the St. Louis Bank Office would have been considered a Remote Worker, not a teleworker.
As the previous poster mentioned, teleworkers were eliminated from Systems many months ago. Every few months our leaders would consider whether to eliminate teleworkers, remote workers, or both (this went on for several years) until finally they eliminated them both. They did, however, eliminate teleworkers FIRST.
As a brief addition to my post (below), I know this because I was one of the remote workers eliminated last Friday.
I was also paying very close attention to the decision to eliminate teleworkers, as they were considering getting rid of remote workers at the same time. However, when the decision came back, several months ago, their first cut was indeed teleworkers, not remote workers.

REMOTE WORKERS were eliminated last Friday, not teleworkers. Teleworkers haven't been allowed in Systems in MONTHS.
@1lhr I was referring to BAs in Marketing. Not Systems. The whole inconsistency thing is really unfair. BUT whose to say they won’t have their review soon. No one’s safe anymore.

Another point: teleworkers were eliminated a while back. They had to either become REMOTE WORKERS or GTFO. Teleworkers and remote workers are not the same thing. Remote workers work from an official State Farm facility.
I was a teleworker in Marketing Systems. I got dumped in the last round. My last day was Friday.
Perhaps the previous poster meant that Marketing business had a lot of remote workers. I have no idea. But Marketing Systems is now remote worker free. Or if they are not, someone let me know and I'll get the horn with somebody to find out what the heck...
No more "exceptions" in L&D either. Relo or get out.
It has been a department by department decision. Many have either been relo'd to the hubs/BLM or severed. However, there are still some teleworker jobs - not many though (Marketing and some agency jobs).
All Systems analysts were dumped with involuntary severance, at the same time all others in that group got offered voluntary.
Not in Marketing. Lots there.
I thought telework roles were done away with before the hub locations even came to light. There may be the odd employee here and there that can fly under the radar and work from home, but I imagine all of those people still have a physical desk in a building somewhere.
They canned all teleworkers with no regard to what role they had.
