Thanks @6ape.

Is is there anyone who has talked to an"upper management" person at Raleigh and can give some information?

Talked with a upper management person of NJ office yesterday. The NJ office is NOT going to be shut down in the next 6 months.

But 20-25% NJ employees will be laid off within next 4 months. The notices will be sent this month.

P.S. I work in NJ office.

Don't you know that Timbuktu is the eponymous mythical reference point for all mapping technology in the world?

Anyone know anything new on the Raleigh site or the data center program? Things seem to be changing fast.

Those saying Raleigh may be sold or closed are ignoring the massive investments made in the data center business by Qualcomm. Qualcomm knows to wait for them to pay off in the long run. And mind you, this business is not the same as some of the others such Mediaflow. Data center is a real business with real customers and huge upside in terms of market share leading to real earnings.

Raleigh is to be divested. It is money down drain.

Austin is a minor site compared to Raleigh.

You absolutely don't make sense.

Only San Diego, San Jose and Austin will be remaining in North America. Plan accordingly.
