New AP ASM responsibilities?

Word is there was a conference call today that announced AP ASMs are taking over claims, DSD, and the compliance champion position. Any real info?

No departments going away, just redeploying the APM to a position that provides an R.O.I

Spend more in frivolous lawsuits and inconsistent/incorrect procedures detaining shoplifters than what actually gets stolen!

They will spend all their 52K+ salary on making sure inventory processes are done correctly since we lose 200% more thru digital inaccuracies then physical processes.

YES! Basically a manager being paid to be a calculator/auditor since MOST supervisors cannot complete math in their head correctly or without"air counting" using their fingers!

APAs will now be the internal investigators. AP ASMs will conduct the interviews. Goodbye MAPMS

Facebook posts are saying this is phase 2 of the AP ASM transformation and one more phase coming. Any info on that?

So are they over claims and DSD or they are doing the job of claims and DSD and eliminating those positions? I'm confused!

All changes start wk 13. Ap ASM are now over claims and Dsd and all relating Grid activity. Specific details were not released as of yet. No pay raise. So much for that 10% ASM & 90% APM BS.

@1psk what state do you work in and what position? I am in California. So far no changes are being made at my store. I am at a small format store though.

Good Fing bye work life balance. Now I get to work 5-2 along with my new rotating ASM schedule. The hits keep on coming folks.

This is only certain states. States like California and New York that have very strict regulations will keep claims. DSD is another story. They are trying to get all vendors to go through the dc' s. There will be no need for multiple DSD anymore.
