If GE proposed a Z-Rate wage scale starting at $12/hour to save 273 (never gonna happen, 273 is going down like the Titanic), the T-Rates would be shoving each other out of the way to vote yes.

BTW, I'm a T-Rate and if I was a D-Rate back in 2009, I would have voted for the new wage scale...just like 99% of the other T-Rates if they were in that situation.

So all I see is tier 2 people crying on here about something they were fine with and agreed to when they were hired. And the fact that every vote since the system went into effect passes in spite of there being more t rates then D rates. I have voted no for everything I have had a chance to as a d rate. You guys refuse to take a stand so quit crying or do something about it. Idiots

I've worked at 2 non-union sites now, and both went 2 tier without a word from the hourly. The unions didn't want it, they fought it. Lynn lost locomotive work because they were against it. And the real crutch of the wage thing is the fact that if the CEO and his lackeys had drawn a normal wage, 2 tier wouldn't be needed and we'd still have good health insurance.

I know so many that are gonna love watching the tears fall down the face of all the tier 1's that sold their soul to get a bonus and vote the tier system in this place. It's disgusting to think how they crushed the next generation for greed and think they are any different than Immelt a and all the other board members that bleed this place dry. Karma

Your co-workers did nothing to your pay, that was the company, and you were oh so happy to work for the reduced wage. Every GE plant has done it, and the fools lined up at the gate. The "old guys" like me stood up for the wage, even tried to get unions in non-union plants, but the "young" guys knew better.....You were told, you were warned, those of you with out the pension, and the now known defunct 401k, but you were happy to walk in and thumb your noses at union dues. Your generation hasn't the intestinal fortitude to stand up for yourselves, nor the humility to band together in the face of management's misdeeds. So as the lay offs are handed down, we "old guys" will see you waltz out the same door you came into as we wait it out and some are handed packages.

I know I cant wait to see the look on tier 1 hourly employees faces when they shut this plant down. I pray every one one of them gets hit with the reality check of how much they stole off the backs of tier 2 for all these years and what its gonna be like having to make a real wage based off their skillset. Poetic Justice!

I love working in 273. Never had a easier job for the amount I get paid. I only have been here for 5 years and I have to hope for the best. I won't sever my ties cause I want to come back. You people complain how bad it is. But sh-- probably easiest job I have ever had. If you don't like ur job sever your ties and go enjoy your life. The majority just like to complain.
