Paraprofessionals at BLC

It Monday morning about 740 and 2 paraprofessionals have spent the past 40 minutes talking about their weekend not a bit of work and they are on the clock but they will have jobs come Sept 1st and here I am working for hours with no employment after Sept 1st

If these 2 morons were at risk or had to fear for their jobs they would not be sitting around talking instead of working.

That's not true at all. When the lay-off realities hit my area, everyone sort of stopped working. We were all completely demotivated. I personally put all my energy into updating my resume and my linked-in profile, as did everyone else I know.

Nice to see paraprofessionals referred to as morons & cheap help - yes, we’re keeping our jobs for now sorry not sorry. Maybe your lousy attitude kept you from getting an offer.

The entire BLC office is going to be closed eventually. That's painfully obvious. Getting out sooner rather than later is in your best interest. At least the economy is good right now.

And let's not pretend like those para-professionals are living the Life of Riley. They're just trying to make ends meet and are taking it as it comes, just like everyone else.

If it’s any consolidation, those PA level people in STL will be let go when it is more convenient. They are cheap employees and get no severance. I’ll speak with a vastly generalized statement here, but with the little income those people make, I assume it will hit them hard since many aren’t able to afford a nest egg to fall back on. And it’s unlikely they receive the 4-5 month notice. I would be walking on eggshells if I was a PA in St. Louis.

Exactly! If these 2 morons were at risk or had to fear for their jobs they would not be sitting around talking instead of working. That’s the problem here. We all know who these employees are & yes they exist. Before I get trashed......I am on break.....I am a good employee but am losing my job while morons like these 2 stay.

@SIp9PnX-lxy Do you work at SF? If so who do you know and/or who are you sleeping with? Or are you one of the bad employees who kept their job? No matter how you slice it if you’re an employee your comment makes you an idiot. If you’re not an employee then you’re just a disgruntled fool.

The BLC is in STL, Missouri not Illinois to the last poster. Not sure If legal there or not. Do you work for the Farm? It’s common knowledge that the BLC is in Missouri.

Do not take a sound on video if you’re in IL, as that’s illegal without their consent.

Welcome to State Farm!!! The bad keep their jobs while the good don’t. I would venture to say they know somebody or are sleeping with somebody. Take a sound on video of them and save it for a wrongful termination lawsuit.

You’re not working! You’re posting on here. You know what they say about people in glass houses. Also, I’m sure if you want it there’ll be a para-prof job for you soon.

Why won’t you have work? Did you opt out?

Look on the bright side. You could have been blown out of that office on March 31st like I was.

Okay, okay... that's not really consolation. But just know that life goes on after State Farm.
