15 years?? You should join Ford Taiwan~ There are not a few employees over 25 years even 35 years there, roughly 10% in one engineering division~~
Bring back the Unions. We were ignorant to their benefit
If I was an employee. I would keep copy of elevations. When company tries to get rid of you for a bad elevations. Then argue how can I have a good one all these years then now I have a bad one?. Then show labor dept the company record.
Their are so many associates that play the system and when they do this they are hurting the associates that want to do right by the system.I believe that help is on the way for the ones that are trying to do right. And the ones that want to act like fools are going to be fooled in the end.
Are they getting rid of part time cashiers
Well over my 40+ years workin blue collar I've noticed how companys use d--g test totally to benifit them and a new system for missing time called occurrences, ya get to that special # and you might be gone,
Don't know how they get away with it but they manipulate it if they want you gone to were you gone.
As far as older people like me, companys say you over experienced, another way of saying ya to fkn old.
These days ya just gotta wish for the best and let god sort them out.
so the Russian/alt right troll farms have found this site too? The internet needs a huge jug of bleach
The American Dream has turned into the American Nightmare. The only thing stopping the USA from being completely swamped with people from Asia (Indians, Pakistanis etc.), Jamaicans and Africans is the lack of a Socialist government. As Americans realize that their work world is very precarious, that they will not be able to afford decent medical protection, schooling for their children, and as things on the home front such as groceries, clothing, heating etc. become less affordable, they will be asking for socialism. This will be a magnet for low I Q people and the USA over the next 20 or so years will decline like so many other Western countries and people will be asking themselves how this all happened to the once greatest nation in the world.
An EEOC mediator told me Walmart like companies (BP Products North America) are notorious for having tons of cases and have a revolving door mediating cases at the EEOC. It is no secret at the government level on how they treat employees. It is up to the labor workforce to walk away in its own terms.
Sadly this is becoming common practice among US Corporations when their aim is to reduce operating costs and it’s a Ruthless world out there nowadays .
At the very least Corporations should factor into giving employees a decent Severance package based on many years of dedicated service of an employee at a Company but nowadays Corporations find clever ways around giving out Severances by basing it on subjective Performance evaluations and they can falsely claim and fabricate an employee Performance evaluation so they can somehow Legally claim the employee did not meet Company Performance review evaluations and thereby the company is not obligated to pay employees severance packages.. Time to get good Labor attorneys or law firm specializing in Labor Law so employees can can better negotiate better Severances packages.
Keep in mind the reputation WM has now created for themselves. No one will want to work for them anymore.
I have watched this company for over20 yrs,not only did I work my tail off for them, until I wore myself out and became sick. but my husband worked even harder and is one of their chosen ones to boot out the door,59 yrs old perfect work record loved by all in his store, now belittled and disappointed, and worried as to how to start over and take care of me who has a cronic illness.they don't care about anyone, which I'm sure will catch up to them.but for anyone who is now employed with Walmart be prepared they are axing every single aspect of the company.no one is safe.i don't know what if anything can be done but I just know it is not right!who ever is in charge now has no regard for the rights of the people who (made the company what it use to be).what a shame!!!!!if you are thing of working for them you better think twice.
20-40-100...20 years with the company, over the age of 40, and making over 100k is unwritten company policy.
Elimination will come through the performance evaluation process. Bottom 20% will be eliminated due to performance.
Assistant Managers will go through the same banding process as the CoMgrs have just gone through, but after evaluations. They will be demoted due to performance issues. So no severance payout for elimination.
Hourly supervisors will go through the same procedure as the Asst Mgrs will go through. Consolidation of the Depts will happen based on sales volume by dept for dept mgr placement.
CAP teams will be consolidated and roles will be realigned.
Customer first scheduling is coming. This will prevent manipulation of schedules. You will not be able to add dept mgrs nor associates where the Store manager thinks they need. Stores will have to strictly adhere to the guidelines.
Sit back and watch the "old" assistants get booted too. Sad thing is I heard they won't get a severance or any options. I am a 50 year old support manager that is just waiting for the firing squad despite my ability (and great yearly evaluations). Sad
would not surprise me in a bit. After the recent reduction in co managers it is obvious it is "out with the old and in with the new"
