SHLD Fitch Credit Rating Grade Affirmed as 'CC'

Back on September 2014, the bond rating agency Fitch decided that SHLD wasn't even worthy of a 'CCC' rating, but gave them a 'CC' rating. That rating was affirmed yet again in January 2017.

@yvn It doesn't matter that it was a year ago, but it still matters what the credit/bond rating agencies say about a company because it is how confident they are (with the financial info that they have access to that informs their decisions) as to how near death the company might be!!
