I am from Cameron but what the heck they pay me to do this. Only thing is my customers are driving me mad asking why I am not visiting them anymore.

Quest employs alot of folks that rely on your input to justify their position. You know, we have MANY of these positions at SLB.
@3vim. Actually not. I did once enter the type of SQ RIR suggested by 2hdl, with some supportive evidence (the number of duplicates SQs/OIs submitted every time....the coffee machine didn't work) and it quietly got credited to my quarterly target. It didn't have any other impact, of course.
Quest is the most perfect example of how quantitative objectives can be counterproductive. Don't expect it to change anytime soon: the Transformation won't go as far as to touch or question such useless (but easy) KPOs.
"Have you entered a QUEST suggestion to reduce number of QUEST reporting requirements?"...It would be quicker if you just walk into HR and quit because that is what entering such a suggestion will get you.
It is BS, but it is official, mandatory BS. That makes it OK.

Oh man, you've done it now. You have spoken ill of "The Quest". You are not worthy, you are obviously a heretic, you are not Engaged!!! Thou Must be Shunned, do you not realize that SLB requires only "true believers"??? Please spend the rest of the day writing a report in quest about your sins, including an RIR on how you have damaged the "faith" of the "true believers" an a Observation/Intervention on how you brought your self to this lowly state. Oh, and let's have a meeting in my office first thing in the morning ;)

Ahhh I see the issue.. You are from Cameron... No one told you that your normal job of 40hrs a week, going to see the clients etc. was still required (otherwise you are on the layoff list) but in addition you needed to spend your evenings and weekends doing paperwork and QUEST. Schlumberger is your child, wife, family now. Like it or leave....
I always edit several RIRs and create a "new" one. Nobody gives a damm about it.
I have about 4 quests that I just rotate. Nobody says anything. It’s all a joke. You could probably just type gibberish and no one would notice.
You forgot to leave your brain in the car when you came in. Don't think. Being engaged does not ask for that. Retards can be the most engaged of us all. They'll make you CEO, if you master that.

Sorry to tell you this...apparently you still don't understand...Nothing, and I mean Nothing exists, happened, or was produced unless it's in Quest. You actual job function is secondary to Quest. Think of it this way...like RIR's...garbage in...garbage out...Just keep using the same scenarios over and over again...they get the numbers they want and that's what really counts now doesn't it.
Don’t expect things to change anytime soon. Just be glad you still get the paycheck, Save money as much as you can and quietly look for a new job
