Does anyone know when the hours will be changing for night crew?? The 2 different shifts others have been talking about.

I worked at Sam's many years ago when we had daytime stocking and receiving. We had much less volume passing through the club in those days. The CIM system was nonexistent and the workers were MUCH better trained. The workers were MUCH better workers. Poor workers , Poor training and a cumbersome CIM system will combine to make a transition back to day stocking and receiving very difficult to make work well. Managers have become nothing more than spoon fed toddlers depending on HO for every merchandising decision. They screw up nearly everything they have to handle on their own. I refuse to believe the clubs that have been using the "New" way of doing things are having a good experience with it. I feel this way because I know for a fact that very often managers will lead HO to believe that they are getting a particular program to work well when in fact they are not. And yes they do this. Why ? In order to look good to home office.
We may in fact all go to the new system but it will be a long bumpy road made to work by hourlies who put forth the effort to make it work in spite of poor management.
I doubt it failed miserably. Most all other companies do this, and Sam's use to also. It's just changing how things are done. It's coming just watch.
I was told that night crew hours will not be changing due to the fact that it failed miserably in test clubs.
Running freight with members in the building isn't an option..without restructuring store opening hours and the complete dc chain (many stores do most receiving at night ) this restructure is logistically impossible. This kind of restructuring isnt likely anytime soon and would have to be in stages. It's not as simple as flipping a switch.
New York labor law: if you work
six hours you are required to have a
30 minute meal period.
i think they are trying it out in diffrent clubs to see how it will work
MAY 1ST The night shift will run from 2am-10am and recieving clerks will help from 6am-12pm cutting hours and inly one 15 min break.
