Our DMs expect us to drive over to another store to pick up merchandise if we don't have it for online orders or, failing that, buy it from another retailer and end up selling it at a loss, but they can't just figure anything out at all for this lady? I suppose for any other company, this would be considered a PR nightmare, but our execs don't give a damn if it means they have to lift a finger.

@pbj- Funny, the news crew was able to get around and take pictures! This sounds like a lame excuse to cover up the incompetence of Sears Repair Service. In fact, numerous scheduled service calls were cancelled by Sears. Even if she was a hoarder, it didn't hinder Sears from selling her a boiler, did it. So why would it hinder Sears from fixing it under the PA she purchased?
Why didn't Howard Riefs issue one of his b---s--- statements?
It sounds like Home Depot stepped up and repaired or replaced the boiler. The water damage and pipes will probably be a law suit.

The lady was a hoarder. The tech could barely get to the boiler let alone fix it.
She was asked to clean her joint (begged really), she told us to F off she done already paid

This is really bad PR, not that SHLD isn't use to that... Why doesn't someone at HE just send someone to get the damn thing fixed, ASAP.

@agi - Quit deceiving yourself. Even if this poor lady was Eddie's own grandmother, he wouldn't give a hoot if she froze to death once he got hold of her money to fill his pockets; the PA be darned. It's the same attitude he displays towards the associates of SHLD!
If any of the States AG's had a pair of cahones they would file charges against SHC and its owner using the RICO statutes

This is a gross misrepresentation of the facts. In fact, Sears has been assisting this woman with dramatically reducing her home heating bills, eliminating uneeded clutter from her home and with remodeling several areas to provide a more open feel.
