I believe there are only 200 full-time faculty left at DeVry, and fewer administrators. I looked at Cogswell College--it has a very limited curriculum, and does not seem to have any Humanities, English, or Composition courses. It has 3 English faculty (an Associate, an Assistant, and an Adjunct professor)...So, it seems very small. Undoubtedly, it is seeking to grow, so that may bode well for DeVry faculty...
The words going through my mind about Lisa Wardell can't be published. Of course, why should she care, she has her millions to keep her warm!
Let's not forget, we have an HR issue at hand...you know what they say...a new broom sweeps clean...
If it's brought to the new owners' attention that they could be facing an HR grievance involving a Group Dean of Academic Excellence, the Chief Academic Officer, and a Group President, they may decide to start their new ownership by cleaning house.
At least the new owner is private but not for profit and does not have to bow to wall street and shareholders. I think we are better off working for Cogswell.
Seriously? They gave us away like a dead rat! Here, does anybody want this? Good. I hope DVU rises again and AdTell’um fails miserably. Still looking for a new job anyway....

@msd You are correct. There is no transfer of money like a normal M&A, only a PROMISE that, based on the University's free cash flow, Adtalem will receive an earn-out of "up to $20 million ... over a ten year period." So basically they gave it to Cogswell and said "Well if you can turn it around, and it makes you money, then you can give us a share of that as payment back to us."

Hopefully the new company will have competent management. And put DeVry first again instead of putting everything in the Chamberlain basket.
