Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Happy to go into work today

Finally I can go into my job at sears today knowing I have a new job starting next week, cant wait to drop the bomb on my SGM. Have worked for this company for 30 years and have seen many SGM come and go, the one I have now is by far the worst ever. I will be sending out an email to the DM about him, hopefully it will help the remaining staff . Sears tells us we can talk about things without fear, that is a lie. Watch your schedule change to the worst ever, working most all nights, never get a weekend off, yes it happens. So now hopefully he will get whats coming to him . Thank you sears for helping me raise my family.... to bad 1 bad SGM can ruin a great job . Peace out b--ches. Once im gone i will come back on here with a store number so people can look up this crappy SGM

people get a grip. What I think @vkx was trying to say is that with SHC not being a place that most people want to work, where SHC's future is in doubt, where SHC's reputation is bleak and known to anyone who is looking to make a career out of SHC it is a place not to apply or to want to work. The only people who are applying are those whose options are limited or whose career is just beginning or whose career is ending are the only people who are applying to be a associate or ASM or SM.

It has nothing to do with @vkx but with the reputation of the company, the pay scale of the company and the chance for advancement within the company. I personally know of many qualified people who have passed on a career with SHC because of the uncertainty and the upper management of the company.

@etk - Wow, you really stirred up the pot with your comment! There are deceitful, dishonest, cruel and spiteful SHLD managers and, like you, I feel that I am better than they are. Little did I know that because we view these type of people with distain that we are on the karma hit list. "When we start thinking we are better than someone else, then "karma" comes down on us with all its might." It is interesting to find out that karma lacks any sympathy for those possessing a moral compass that places acts of goodness above acts of evilness.

@etk I am laughing too as you need to go back to school or learn some manners. Didn't your parents ever tell you that each person has his own strengths and weaknesses? When we start thinking we are better than someone else, then "karma" comes down on us with all its might....SO if you are really walking around "thinking" that you are better than someone else you better re think or your life won't be what you want it to be.

@etk. No I am not a current Sears manager and no you are no better than anyone else. None of us are.

Why so triggered @QvCK5Gb-iso??? LOLZ! Calling the current ranks of Sears managers morons is a statement of fact. Sorry if you're amongst their ranks. Perhaps a mirror and some clear eyed reflection are in order....And yes...I AM better than they are.

@vkx Wow...how big of you to say that. I used to be that way too....completely judgmental and then life will knock you down and tell you you know what "you aren't that great." No need to call someone a "moron." You worked for Sears/Kmart too, so you know what you aren't any better than anyone else working here now.

Congratulations on your new job! There is life after this toxic swamp. Before I was laid off, I used to teach a portion of the SGM Academy every month for eight years. Each month I saw the quality of these new "managers" slide. The last group in June were a bunch of knuckle-dragging, mouth breathing morons who stood and picked their noses and slobbered. You're literally down to the bottom of the barrel.

Good for you on getting a new job that will be more fulfilling and rewarding moving forward. Honestly, your moves to call out your soon-to-be former manager isn’t going to change that person. It won’t bother them or affect how they do things. You’re better off moving on and not dewelling in the negative.

All you need to do is whatever makes you happy. In the end it is all just words, so saying something bad about someone may help you feel better which is good, but that person won't care. He will move on and ignore it if he really is that bad. Don't harbor ill will toward anyone as it just is carried with you into the future if you do. Make peace and move on. Happy Holidays!

Happy for you. Good luck. Glad that you decided to send that e-mail, think that should be enough. Personal identifiable info is not allowed here, so posting store number and position of that crappy person wouldn't help, as site admins would nuke that post within a minute.
