Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Customer make their own Holiday Blowout sale

At our sears store in lawn & garden, we had customer make their own deal with handwritten sign, just grab a sign at lower price than blower was, take it to register and say this blower is this price and they honored it because sign had no description or item number

And management honored it!!

What would have have happened at your store?

Customers could easily be legitimately confused, items end up on the wrong pegs accidentally all the time, and it's even more common with these generic handwritten tags covering up the item-specific tags.

I've worried about that... On some I've made sure to clarify, esp items what share a fixture. So far I don't think we've had anyone try it, but at our store we'd certainly go check on that and not let them have it if it clearly wasn't true.

Yup. No point of arguing. Who cares about cost? It won't matter in the end...plans are already made.

As long as the final sales price was not lower than cost, we would honor the price in our store.

@QqyaSfz-uyw I would think they would have checked on it. But if the customer b--ched enough about it they would have caved in and give them the price he posted.
