I spent 25 years there until the kicked me out for being old and making too much money -

The new generation of management is clueless. It used to be about the client, you know they people that bay the bills. ..

Now it's about the process even if it screws the client, as long as the process is followed. If you dare to bypass procedure even if it helps keep a client happy you will be in deep trouble and likely soon to be looking for a job.

Nike is struggling. It isn’t Nike anymore.

Nike leadership remember the saying it's doing the right thing when no one is watching. Well in case you have not noticed the whole world is watching. Stop getting rid of aged and tenured employees. It's good to have a mixture. Insiders see what's happening.

You're so right gkn. How long are they going to get away with all of the Retro styles? They've gotten rid of so many employees that were major forces behind those prior Retro styles. It's now the newbies riding on the back of all those talented ex-employees that had initially brought those styles to life,

Makes me sick. If an H1-B is hired with "similar" skills to you, then Nike is breaking the law. Compare your skills against this list:

It makes no sense. ES and MP have been around a long time and TH and others plus many on the board. I guess they believe they are above it.

It takes a diverse group to make a good company. That includes tenured employees.

Not much new product but lots and lots of retro.

The people that were victims of layoffs were older and higher salaries employees. The company is moving to a different worker profile. Young, technical, cheap, and a transactional relationship in the gig economy. Nike doesn’t want lifers anymore. We all see how well it is working so far with stocks struggling, innovation non existent and consumers moving on to other things. Nike makes soles but it is soulless.
