Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Get rid of horrible low and mid level management

If senior management even hopes to salvage things, they have to clean house on the apathetic low level and mid level management.

I get the fact that they are the ones who drink the most koolaid in the company. But they are the ones who are the cancers of the company. They shake their retarded heads in agreement with everything directors and above say and then don't listen to any feedback from the workers beneath them.

Tony, start firing managers. Do the whole company a favor.

These managers are so scared of being laid off as well. They are all talking heads that continue to tell you things are going well when you see it imploding around you. I’ve been there for 18 years and in the last year it’s went into the toilet so fast that’s its hard to keep up. Dumping CPE and going cloud based but asking them their vision they say “we are still working it out”. Well good luck cause by the time you get it figured out all of your customers will hate you and you will never regain them again and that just means no customers, no need for managers. So if you work for Windstream like I do , get your resume ready cause you are next, either as a sampling size or as a whole with the rest of us

I for one believe all managers whether senior, middle, etc should be held accountable for the deteriorating company...they all know the struggles, hurdles, frustrations, etc of the employees...however these managers do not stick their necks out for the employee which results in low employee morale, low productivity, etc...this company needs managers that speak the truth in order for this company to start being successful once again...my personal opinion is that many of the good workers have already exited and/or are seeking employment elsewhere resulting in failure of Windstream! Such a shame.

I've had wonderful and horrible managers at Windstream. Trust me, the horrible ones are able to stay because they have exceptional employees who are propping them up. Their directors and senior directors know they are incapable, but don't want the hassle of firing and rehiring, leaving consultants and analysts to carry the manager. I chose to leave rather than prop my overpaid manager up any longer. She's still there draining resources and not adding value.

Senior managing the problem. Mid and low level managers get their marching orders from the top. All they are doing is implementing what senior management tells them to.
