Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

qcom was the best

So sad that once best company is now about to hand over to the sh--ty company with glassdoor review of 2.6. The review s are filled with so many negatives, frequent layoffs, poor work life balance, employees are just numbers, no R&D but pure commodity operation. How on earth qcom become like that

@zxh Those candidates you interviewed were terrible, and they didn‘t have a career at Broadcom. I think that says more about those candidates than about Broadcom.

I recollect interviewing two candidates from Broadcom the last year and both failed and were rejected. The candidates complained about the lack of career in there. Well, we will all get screwed now. Thanks PJ!!

Who are the 'barbarians' is a matter of perspective.

Folks who "left in droves" years ago - for B-com - were folks who felt passed over at Q by n00bs set to ruin the company - and they weren't happy about it. One guy I spoke with back then was practically frothing at the mouth. At that moment in time I thought he was a nut. Now...not so sure.

Now those guys are coming back.... What's on their minds so you suppose?

Are you talking about Bcom? Yes, Bcom is a commodity shop. They make nothing notable. What they make, though, from my experience, is pretty good, and they move pretty fast.

Arrogance, incompetent management and lack of value given to high value employees ( who left in droves). What did you expect? The result is not surprising. RIP Q
