Thread regarding NetApp layoffs

Stopping useless gossip and leaving this sh--!

Guys, this is a DYING company, please open the window and take a look at the vivid outside world! An entry level engineer is paid WAY much more than a senior here. Grandfather technology, infamous management team, non-programing tech lead,

if you stick to this, means you are BAD, really shame on you! Take the next OPPORTUNITY to leave with cash! All of my friends get at least 30% raise after leaving here, no matter how they left the company. As soon as, you can programming!!!

Sky rocketing stock price? Are u kidding me?? Look at past three four years, how many IT company stock got double tripped. Their engineers' refresh is higher than your salary! Look at your little paycheck! Yes, C*Os are making good money right now they are share holder of the company. How about you? Making 10k extra money every year? ?

At one point in time, all leads were developers so your point is useless. Leaders are running the technical business not managers. Managers in Bangalore site are one of the worst people with no technical knowledge or background. Big lies all the time with fake experience. It just idiomatic. Managers here at Bangalore site could be connected to consultancy companies in India to get the additional cash. That's how Indian Managers makes big pennies. They just wanted promotion and increment. They are more likely the data entry managers and making colorful slides to fool Americans. Jago people, your manager in India then you are doomed. I believe the fault lies in the Indian management especially those belonging to backward generation. A huge b---s--- which everyone laughs loud about.

@PtD2KmY-9lth,

No Netapp is usually not very picky about who gets hired. It's up to the hiring manager. He can even hire people without any interviews. So it's easy for them to hire their buddies who can't do the job they were hired to do. Saw this a lot here.

I know people who are interviewing with NetApp (SolidFire to be precise). From what I'm hearing, NetApp/SolidFire is very picky about who they hire. Is all of NetApp like that?

Yep, dying a slow death. You could say death by a thousand cuts from kurious george's knife... Hope for a decent package in the next round of layoffs and move on to greener pastures. I was lucky to have been jettisoned in a previous RIF. At first I thought it was a terrible thing but after a while I realized it was a GREAT thing and I'm so much happier now. Constantly looking over your shoulder at Netapp is not healthy. For all of you talented folks left at Netapp, time to start the next exciting chapter in your lives and leave this ailing company.
