The previous package was 2 months + 3 months (signing a waiver not to sue) = 5 months
If those who got LRed have the balls , just blurt out your package details please.
What a sh-- company.
@PsLjbGN-wan Nothing wrong with asking somebody who got laid off what their package was. I was hit in September last year after 20+ years with Cisco. I was very unhappy as the layoff clearly targeted the 'senior' population at Cisco but I had no problem revealing what the package terms were. People are worried and it is natural for them to wonder what the LR package is and who else would know better than somebody who has been impacted?
The WARN announcement was 310 employees losing their jobs in San Jose - as they are legally obliged to notify in the state of California - but what of all the others such as the people from RTP who posted on this thread for example? Are they being shown the door in typical Cisco "stealth mode" layoffs? What about all the contractors removed in the last four weeks - any numbers availabe there? I, like many others suspect that 310 is only the very tip of the iceberg. My sympathies to all the good folks who have lost their jobs in the latest bloodbath and I wish you luck in your endeavours securing new employment.
Cisco Engineering will have a company picnic next week, which is dubbed "Morale Builder". The picnic will feature carnival rides and all-you-can-eat hot dig and beans. A menu of steak and lobster is available for executives and managers. Oops! Now the majority managers and executives are vegetarians. Unlimited vegetables, curry, and chicken will be provided.

@PsLjbGN-1grp, 310 is only FT. Lots of contractors where let go...
310 is very less, was expecting around 1500 in SJ.. lot of executive level, still glued to their chairs.
The HQ job reductions are the only ones they HAVE to report due to California's WARN act. Who knows how many jobs are eliminated at other sites.
Which teams, products, BUs have been impacted?
@PsLjbGN-1vvz, impacted employees will be notified starting today and thru oct 23rd...
Impacted employees will be notified by October 23rd.
Just to clarify. Impacted employees have been already notified by their managers?
where is that Person who posted that only bottom5 % are LO... how can a whole team be LO and then claim bottom 5%... "pruning" ??

Sad news for those impacted. Take advantage of the out placement services, they are not bad and you'll find something much better than sysco
Stealth layoffs are absolutely disgusting. At least make an announcement, these are human beings that were just fired.
yep, I can verify this too. I just got notice, and so did at least 10 of my colleagues. Sad day.
@PsLjbGN-fac : What a c*nt you are, the man got fired and you are asking him details of the package? No empathy?
Sorry to hear that - I'm certain you will find something bigger and better soon.
Sorry to hear that. I had thought there is no layoff till the end of 2017
Collaboration TG got hit hard. about 20% in RTP. more in SJC i heard ( i heard an entire team of 40 got noticed)
Sorry to hear that, any further details? Package. San Jose is going to be soon
Can you share the high level things that are included in your package please?
