GE is apparently in trouble because they are incompetently run, but I doubt that's "news" to anyone.

GE Predix is BS

Turbine customers need GE experts who understand their machines. They need to be connected to experts in the service business and engineering who have design and product knowledge. Instead GE Power Six Sigma slime set up the GE Power Atlanta bloated bureaucracy PAC Power Answer Center which is staffed by candy stripers who have never done the work who management believes can provide good service by just looking up words on data base.

Would you go for medical attention to a someone at an answer center with data base who never went to Medical School? Steve Bolz was the idiot who believed in this, and was just fired for running GE Power into the ground. GE Power needs to go back to being an engineering and manufacturing company instead of a gimmick company without experts anymore.

GE plans to force their Predix junk on Power customers. The power customers need to stand their ground and refuse to accept this junk.

Especially when the competitors don't have the burden of utterly incompetent leadership who do not understand what an IoT is even supposed to look like.

It is hilarious to watch GE trying to claim innovator of the IoT technology when GE will be lucky to catch up with other/actual IoT innovators already on the market. No way can GE compete with these private companies.

Predix is far behind when compared to viable systems already on the market. 10 times the cost and less reliable.

GE has always focus on it's internal self image. Constantly patting each other on the back and focusing on self branding. They constantly moved execs , management and regular employees between positions they were not qualified for. These employees then spent lots of time and money trying to impress with go nowhere projects and work. The biggest issue then was divestiture of capital just after they got things going good. Then they wanted to be software company and be the biggest and best. I new it was doomed from the beginning. They should have had more modest goals for GE digital and focused that effort on helping our industrial's grow. 20-20 hind site but the main reason was greed and ego.
