No, this is very much the group of employees laid off in June. Sears somehow is able to play the system by counting the warn period as part of your severance. Many other respectable organizations gives you the warn period, and then your severance pay after. Sears is too damn poor to do so. Case in point, as I am one of those laid off, I've run into many people who have 5-6 months of pay from warn/severance from their organizations, making the transition much easier to deal with. Sears gives you the bare minimum and a nice f--- you, counting those 60 days as part of your total severance package. Don't expect much from this rotten company when it eventually happens to you. Jump off this rudderless ship while you can.
Ignore @guq since they have no clue how the WARN notice works. Layoffs are about to happen just as the notice said.
This post isn't accurate. It is referring to the previous layoffs in June. The HE associates automatically all get 8 weeks of severance, so their severance period is ending right around the 2nd week of August which means that is their technical "laid off" date.

375 people is not a trivial amount. Even if its done slowly, that's roughly 8-10% of the workforce still there at Hoffman.
HE was basically wiped out in most districts I know of already...I guess they're getting rid of the rest?
I've heard I think was snowing in HE last winter.
