Thread regarding Colgate-Palmolive Co. layoffs

Some of the managers need to go

I would love to see a few people take the package. Some of these managers are insecure and jerks. Be honest....it's true. They have held people back from advancing due to personal issues and or because they speak up for themselves. If we are to survive as a company. ..we have to let some of these toxic managers go. We have lost good talent and stifled growth of potential individuals for bias reasons. Sadly. .if they don't take the package. ..they may put other people on the list to layoff. People who should stay but because they are not liked, speak up for themselves. or just smart they should go. That's just my opinion. Colgate is a good company but we need to change management. Honestly. ..I would love to see more diversity but it is what it is. The bottom had risen to the top.

Agreed, @Or4qGDN-1ndu. We can't lose anymore good people, but sadly, I am sure we will.

I completely agree with Post ID: @OsFKteM-eov.

T

his culture is because of 1 guy. Capt. Chaos. He decides who gets promoted. That Fatty Pig needs to go from CP. Until they don't push him out nothing will change. He didn't deserve that spot nor has any technical or managerial skills. He got it because he was in old club. BPTW!!!!!

My team is fairly diverse. My department is not. It really depends on where you work.

I have been at Colgate for 25 years. I can honestly say people are not unhappy about their jobs. They are unhappy with the unfair treatment and lack of growth. The person speaking originally, I understand. I will hope they continue to be positive and speak up. More importantly survive and move on to another opportunity within CP or even the outside. Diversity depends on the department you belong to. Some are better than others. Management with respect needs to be valued again and they must hold management accountable for bad behavior and managing. They should not get promoted for mistreatment .

Don't waste your time thinking about everyone else and what they are offered or what they may or may not do. People who worry about themselves and concern themselves with doing well are rewarded regardless of diversity or race, this is very clear.

There is a lot of diversity in CP as well as in the management ranks - not sure what you are seeing or insinuating, but you don't sound like a happy employee.
