Thread regarding Sears layoffs

One reason why fake layoff dates appear on this site

Once or twice I have done it on this site, posted fake upcoming layoff dates, nothing I'm proud of. When I did it I did it to stir the pot to get feedback from those on this forum to see if layoff rumors I was hearing were true. I was worried about losing my job in the week ahead and wanted to validate rumors. Post a fake layoff rumor here and wait. It works. The feedback en masse confirms things one way or another. A selfish act, yes. So be careful when you hear people posting layoff dates, there are many reasons to post fake information

I'm the OP and am a little disturbed with the responses. While I was expecting some abuse I wasn't expecting the paranoia/corporate bashing/conspiracy theories. goes to show the level of distrust within the organization, which I guess is understandable with all we have to go through

Nothing is believed here from one source......it's easy enough to tell who has good info and who doesn't.....trolls are just too damn easy to spot.......and they smell too!

Eddie wears mis-matched socks. Moreover, he often leaves his fly open and is known to (purposely) display a cameltoe.

@kvz you sound like a corporate troll trying to validate the post. We know corporate is aware and posting on the site to confuse some people. But it's not hard to point out the obvious and see what's going on with the company. They went out of their way to have a store manager meeting and this site came up. Immediately after the meeting my store manager stated to stop spreading negative news. I understand corporate want to keep things on the hush and act as if this is company is on the rebound. Anybody with common sense can understand what's going on and it's not our fault Sears Holdings want to insult the intelligence of most people.

I'm sorry, but you guys can be so...unintelligent sometimes. The poster stated they posted fake layoff rumors to confirm true layoffs. Eddie would be the last person on the planet to try to dig up information about layoffs in his own company. Think people jesus.

"I see many corporate apologists coming out to play on here recently. As much as they try to hide their true intentions, I see it. I'm sure others do too."

For sure. It's been going on for years. Some of them are just trolls. Some might be corporate employees. I wouldn't be surprised if SHC has staff dedicated to messing up any real online discussion of the business. The stock message boards are loaded with dead-enders who talk about the genius of Eddie Lampert and the wonders of Shop Your Way. It's obviously BS but it tends to kill intelligent discussion.

I see many corporate apologists coming out to play on here recently. As much as they try to hide their true intentions, I see it. I'm sure others do too. I was going to address each post as it came but ain't nobody got time for that. The reality is ... well ... the reality.

You can post your pebble speak misinformation about 'the transformation' trying to keep employees on board until the end but cults declined in popularity in the 80s. You can SAY whatever but people know what they SEE.
