If it wasn't for the fact I work at Kmart I would never go in there. Tvs can get them cheaper at other places. Playstation or Xbox non existent. Clothing is so outdated wont catch me in none of that. Never bought any shoes out of there. What real incentive is there for someone under 40 to shop there.Everything in the store is overpriced. The main reason people come to our store is Convenience. Other than that Wal-Mart would really be blowing us out the water. Sears has nothing I want or need. As a worker i refuse to spend my money with this company. I will go out of my way to not give Sears Holdings my money. For you jacka $$es that say I should help the company can kiss my @$$. It's a even trade. They pay me to work. I'm not obligated to give them back my money. They dont pay me enough to have a decent living. I have to do whats best for me and thats not giving Sears my money. The most i buy out the store is a soda from the vending machine.

I worked in a Kmart Pharmacy that has now closed. I was constantly being told to try to recruit young families to use our pharmacy. I don't know how I was supposed to find those young families, because none were shopping in the store. I never shopped Kmart--even with the discount, the prices where way higher than anywhere else and the selection poor. I also would never buy food or over the counter or beauty products from Kmart---because they are all held at improper temperatures and thus expire far before the date on the package!
@OmTeJQR-1tpn, you do not get ADP points because you are trying to use your associate discount card. SHC discontinued associate discount cards long time ago! You need to connect your SYW in MPI to get ADP points. How did you learn about changes in ADP program?
@1eqj I know I don't have to buy stuff and even if I work their still not a reason to shop their. I work their to make my ends meat. Why should I buy something their in the first place? First of all I don't have my discount anymore and no I don't want points. The whole point is trying to brain wash you to buy stuff and get points use them and buy again. I rather just get a discount right off the bat. Its overpriced I made a post that I needed a boiler and it was when the discount died I was over paying atleast $100 dollars why should I buy it from Sears and over pay?
Yep, pretty much. We sell them chunks of our life for a service we provide, I bust my @$$ when I work and I have to spend my earnings where it best suits my family.
At least you get points. I only got points part of the time and when I called they couldn't figure out why I don't get points when I should. When they went to points instead of the employee discount I don't get points for the employee discounts, suprise points or anything. Needless to say I don't do much shopping at Sears anymore unless it's a real bargain and even then I don't even bother to use my employee discount card because I won't get any points. We have a number of members coming in who aren't getting their points anymore or their earned points disappear with no warning before they expire. What a ripoff.
No one is forcing you to buy anything, but why work someplace where you wouldnt buy anything? I work at Sears because I always liked the discount and have learned to adjust to getting points now.
Amen brother thats how I think ever since they got rid of our discount I don't try to support the store in anyway at all. I agree their we work we do our job we get paid, but their is nothing that entitles us to shop and buy stuff from a company that treats their workers like crap.
I only got their credit card to buy stuff online with my discount ever since they got rid of the discount I don't buy anything or use my Sears credit card if they want they can just cancel it I don't need it useless 5321 credit card that gives you points just to spend them at Sears/Kmart on their overprice junk!
