So what is the real story? Are they taking away vacation time or not?
No they can't take your vacation. However they can change the carry over period to say 1 week. Hopefully they would provide notice for the transition.
When I left I got paid 2 months worth for all my racked up vacation days so unless they change the carry over rules it's better to save the days if you think you may be impacted.
I call BS.
