Thread regarding Sears layoffs

This Is Fight Club Now

A long, long, time ago in 1999, someone made a movie called "Fight Club". Interesting movie. Then in 2009 some folks who know about finance made up a website that featured arguments between posters. It is a beautiful format to this day.

That being what it is I want the trolls to know that it is gloves off in here from here on out. If that is not OK with whoever administers to this site and runs a constant stream of ads then we can take our little fight club elsewhere.(I run adblock so thanks) Marketwatch has already been dealt with for that baloney in 2011. MW has no respect these days.

I can say for sure that some of you are some of the same people that I know from other financial boards. This site had better open up it's eyes to what is going on. It should not be that hard to post here. You are ruining your own revenue on clicks. Otherwise you admin are taking bait and bribe money.

I haven't seen so many talented writers as I have here in Sears thread on any other layoff thread. We generate money on clicks for this board.

I do work for Sears as an associate but not because I am broke and desperate or negative. You assume that I only make money that way. Dumb.

Show some guts for a change admins. You have fight club here and if you have fight club here then you have clicks and that equals revenue.

Haven't watched the movie (yet), but I suppose the title gives it away.

I'm with @vin on this one. I have to add (and I'm speaking from my own experience) that this place is not only administrated, but admins here can be very brutal. Few months ago, they nuked all my posts and blocked my IP for not following one of their rules on just one post. I still think that was a radical move from their end, but realize they wanted to send a clear message. Writing from proxy ever since, pain in the a--, super slow.

So good luck with your fight, but I suggest you check their rules first (it's in the footer, btw). In short - naming names, impersonating, and using any kind of derogatory language is not allowed.

Fight Club is about ideas. Ideas are dangerous. The second rule says, you do not talk about fight club. That is where things become DEBATABLE. If you have watched the movie, then you have realized that the rules don't matter and that you are on your own.

We could have a 20 trillion rules and it wouldn't matter. You didn't watch the movie did you?

If you did, you would see that the fight club started with one or two people yet swelled into a crowd.

I back the administrators of this board and believe they should prevent this site from becoming a "fight club." The "debate club" format of this board works perfectly well for respectfully sharing information and opinions! "Talented writers" have no need to resort to nastiness to get their message across. I respect all posters on this board even if their opinions are different from mine. I don't feel there is the need to "fight" with anyone on this site! The best way to deal with the trolls is to ignore them. What is accomplished by responding to their drivel?

I have never seen the movie "Fight Club" but have seen clips from that movie on the web and one of them says "The first rule of fight club is you don't talk about fight club!"
