Take a serious look around the marketplace as there are positions out there, Life after Cisco for me has been wonderful. The stress is gone, not serving ungrateful management, and doing more with less as Chuck runs the company in the ground, I do not miss it. I work a couple of different jobs on a part time basis, consulting and training. I make more now than I did when I was there, and I'm my own boss, very liberating.

@1kzb - I imagine the decision on spring pre-bonus payout will very much depend on the Q2 results due to be revealed to Wall Street and the general public on Feb 15th. The omens are not good for a good quarter but maybe Cisco have to s--- it up and try and convince it's demoralised staff that thinks are ok. Or may e they won't pay it and that sends a different message to staff and attrition rate increases as a result? That would suit them also. Difficult to predict it this time what might happen. Under Chambers I'd have a tiny bit more faith that it would be paid, but Chucky has abondoned the idea of the 'Cisco family' and you are just a number under this administration. There were a lot of focal adjustments and payrises after Q1 mass layoffs to deflect attention away from the thousands of people who lost their jobs so maybe there is a similar play coming in the next few weeks? Several more thousand to lose their jobs to appease the shareholders, but those that remail get paid their spring bonus? What do people think?

@1cck - Cut ELT pay????? How very dare you even suggest that!!!! Give them raises for the way they are navigating us through these choppy waters I say.

but the ELT doesn't have to shrink too? Aren't they the ones making the sh!tty decisions that got us here? Shouldn't they feel the pain just like us?

Heck, just cut their pay by 10% and save a ton of jobs. They make way too much for that they're doing.

The company is unraveling so the leadership team gets to layoff >10% of the workforce....... but the ELT doesn't have to shrink too? Aren't they the ones making the sh!tty decisions that got us here? Shouldn't they feel the pain just like us?

Definition of Insanity, doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

Last year, the contractors & consultants were hit prior to the blue badges. Maybe contractors will be hit in February?

We'll find out after the results on 15th Feb. From what I hear, the results will show another quarter of decline which the ELT will need to react to, by offering the markets headcount reduction to maintain margins. This is the world Cisco now lives in and I don't see it changing anytime soon.
