If the iceberg were floating just at the slope of the continental shelf and a large submarine landslide were to occur releasing a large amount of trapped methane gas, the resulting reduction in water density as the gas bubbles to the surface could cause the iceberg to sink.... or iceburgh if you are from Pennsylvania.
