What is the rig of the future? Why is slb building rigs when there is a glut? Is this a special rig run remotely in Colombia by the service desk?

Well alright. Been a bit quiet with TRofTF
So the ejourney indians or it service desk can control the rig remotely reading help documents.
Will SLB become drilling contractor? Why does it need new rigs?
Yeah Patrick could f--- up a wet dream. Why is he employed
Is this like the port fourchon well services $32 million plant that is 3 months late now with no wiring in place and the contractors fired for delay? Patrick Laheigh still gets his pip with garbage out behind schedule still right? His Bayou Blue rebuild still floods with rain and molds all the offshore ppe.
Post ID: @JZTtTvC-tjq....amen and spot on. Same with rechargeable batteries...8 years and still in the dark ages.
The rig of the future has been going in now for over 10 years and it's still in the future. When will it become the rig of today? Answer is possibly never as it's too expensive and full of useless automation that doesn't really do much and is the main reason why it's still called the rig of the future
Well, I know Slum bought the German company that makes automated rigs that need much less men working on them. I think that is the wave of the future, more automation and less mouths to feed.
That being said, when companies become bloated and large, they make dumb decisions.
Amen. Spot on!
Rig of the Future is SLB's new idea of being the end-all, be-all of the drilling process. Ultimately SLB wants to work with operators (i.e. Exxon, Shell, Apache, etc.) for onshore to do everything from seismic surveys and finding O&G to drilling and completing the well and also taking an equity stake in the well or being paid in oil.
In truth its a disaster. SLB acquired CAM (a poorly run company) for cheap which is why so many lawsuits were filed and the entire process was put on fast track (thankfully HAL-BHI was the perfect distraction).
CAM is a big, awkward company with too many Directors, VPs, and SVPs. Those that created the disaster took their millions and ran (i.e. Jack Moor, former CEO).
CAM equipment for drilling is a piece of sh--. Sure their pressure control equipment such as the world famous BOP (which blew a hole offshore in Deepwater Horizon) but why buy CAM when you get the same quality for much cheaper with NOV?
Beyond this they acquired LeTourneau and drove the company into the ground. Not only did the dumb--ses in CAM Drilling shutdown the plant that manufactured this stuff they rely heavily on 3rd Parties for all the parts and only assemble the equipment...very little to no manufacturing.
The former dumb--s CFO of CAM had the brilliant idea of acquiring SENSE, a Norwegian company no one has heard of or will use on their rigs.
I'm not sure if SENSE is supposed to be used on Rig of the Future but if it is I wouldn't want to be anywhere near that rig.
In conclusion, Rig of the Future will be a disaster and is probably just a fluke like the CAM acquisition which is just to appease investors and make it look like Paal is doing something during the downturn.
As for CAM, its full of pu--y's who have no f---ing clue what they're doing. V&M has no heartbeat and is beaten out by players such as Emerson (who now owns Pentair Valves). Did you know EPV V&M buys not from CAM internally but their very own competitor Emerson because of how sh--ty the V&M products are?
Only bright spot is OneSubsea. CAM Drilling is also full of dumb--s Harvard MBAs and pusscake VPs who don't have the balls to make the decisions that are necessary.
Fun times ahead!
