Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Keep holding on to that wet toilet paper rope that is Chevron, sooner or later it will dry out and strengthen.

Chevron is a $hit place to work. I am glad i don't work there anymore. What a phucked up place to be. Kiss my lily white a$$ Chevron.

Reminds me of a project manager who could not get through one meeting without saying "That's not how we did things at Shell" at least once. Well then go back to frickin' Shell already if it was so great. Oh yeah, you got canned there too.

Asswipe @Ii3obuP-1ehl got sh--canned from Shell because he was deadwood and now he is now all butthurt about it. he will be sh--canned from CVX soon and that is why he is here on this thread whining like a little butthurt baby. They also prefer people who are literate, can spell and use a PC at CVX. That is something that @Ii3obuP-1ehl obviously has not mastered yet - LOL!

It's not a bad company it just has terrible people managing it - The ABU has some of the worst Managers, the toxic environment and the ego that is thrown around my certain staff is disgusting. Lot's of great people and great policies/ procedures but unfortunately it's let down by the horrible leaders. Lot's of good staff let go and the bullies and tyrants stay on. I'm sure other BU are better.

Why ahould you lwave on your own. Wait till you get the package and then go. But I can tell you it is the most incompetent company. I worked for Shell earlier the people there are far superior. All you do in Chevron is rework the same stuff again and again.

@1ghq, Chevron may have been the worst experience for you. But don't pretend to speak for me (and I can affirm for the majority of Chevron employees, as well). I've been with Chevron for 26 years and enjoyed a rewarding working experience all along. It's a big company and there's varied personalities. But like anywhere in life, you've got to learn to roll with the punches and move ahead for yourself. If in your own work experience, your job was way too routine, boring, or you had to deal constantly with bad people, you need to admit that half the problem at best was your own. You had ample opportunities to change work groups or fix the apparent problem.

I did leave on my own. Should have done it a long time ago. Truly the worst work experience of my life. You couldn't make up the stupidity if you tried. Sad to see good folks hang on to something like that. Good folks have no hope or future at Chevron. The good ones are treated like crap, while the turds rise to the top and continue the trend of bad management and pi$$ poor decision making. If you are an incompetent prick, Chevron has a top mgmt position for you.

Hey @OP and @1lfo, if you didn't like working at Chevron, why didn't you leave earlier on your own? Why complain now after being laid off? Good riddance.
