The Q2 earnings call is expected some time around July 28. The EPS is forecast to be in the region of -$0.50 which means the company is still losing money. The current stock price remains elevated purely because of investor speculation. The fundamentals are just not there, the planned cuts are not making an iota of difference to the bottom line. Is BHI a dead-man-walking ? When will Wall St wake up to the fact that it is all smoke and mirrors.

WDM (Walking Dead Man) is the correct term. Problem is it's referring to the employees getting no where and feeding the monkey to watch it s&#t!
I get laid off last month & I'm looking for job since then, but get nothing so far, currently I'm struggling to pay my rent and other utilities bills. Off course I gave up all the unnecessary spending's to be able to survive until I find new job, but what makes me feel so miserable is that when my son asks me to go to the movie theatre or to the splash town to enjoy summer holiday or buy him a toy he liked, I can't meet his wishes. I wish I can find job ASAP to make it up for him before the end of summer holiday & get him ready to the next school year!!

As a value investor with 25 years of experience, I see few negatives in the outlook of Baker Hughes, the emotional responses from non-investors notwithstanding. Losing over $900 million during Q1 is abnormal and won't continue. Gaining $3.5 billion is an isolated windfall. After declining for 1.5 years, the rig count trend is flat to rising. Isn't it always darkest before dawn?
