The rift dividing Verizon and the union workers resulted into a massive and nationwide strike and went global as well. It is irrefutable that Verizon has lost control not only on its operations but its profits as well.

Can anyone answer this question..why is that all you people hate the guys that belong to the unions.is it because you get no pensions, is it that you have sh--ty medical insurance, is it that you only get 2weeks vacation, is it you dont have a matching 401k...and the list goes on..hate all you want..in the end your company that you think is so great is going give it to you where th e sun dont shine buddy

Did you get paid when you built the system as you put it, when someone builds a house they don't get residuals forever as you overpaid fat lazy truck dwellers what to, be thankful for the years that YOU beat the customers and the system and move on , crying striking JACKASSES...
It's important enough for the company to continue to negotiate. So was the last best untrue. If they don't need the union why continue talking.
So funny, did you know that the non union workers wouldn't even have that created job, if it wasnt for the work of the unions....wireline paid for wireless.......also may I add, what do you think will happen to all the wireless jobs that have been filled or NOT filled while those employees have been working in the field? Maybe Verizon will take notice they dont need those positions since they were able to do without all this time. So lets get melodramatic here.......India?
You sir are clueless. Talking with fellow techs like myself that have over 30 years, things have changed. The people mentioned are the most knowledgeable hard working folks you could meet. Maybe the fact that they remember a time when the company cared. Things will be different when or if we return.

Do these people not understand that 93% of the company's profits come from the non-union part of the company? And do they not understand that VZ is actually doing pretty well considering 40k workers walked out on them (not that it matters in the long run since wireline has so little impact on the company's bottom line)?
