Hey Camden Kid once again, where do we report these issues too?!!! Please reply clearly because my degree is from UOPX. I have been in enrollment for 5 years I make $62k/yr no one else is going to pay me that anywhere else. So the boss lady tells me that I have to enroll anyone that calls in. I mean ANYONE, if they are in a homeless shelter oh well, if they are slow or developmentally delayed oh well, if they have a learning disability oh well, I don't have the tools or the training to deal with those issues. If I send them an email on how to complete the enrollment process and the lead does the steps what do you want me to do about it. There are no entrance exams, there is no home visit to see if he/she has a computer, if they stutter or can't read the Application Center webpage while completing what do you want me to do about it. I am being told by my boss that the potential student has the right to attend and its in my metrics to enroll students. Camden Kid if you have so much information over years of having this site why haven't YOU done something about it? Because every school does it, that's why!!!! Every school has homeless students, every school has the disadvantaged every school has mentally challenged people. Thats why you would try to go to school! So who are we supposed to report these details too?!

@HPcraft, if you have not contacted me already, please do so. This article is for student veterans, but employees can do some of the same complaints (with the Federal Trade Commission, US Department of Education, State Attorney General). You and other former workers can let students and former students about these places to complain (and in some cases, get remedies)..................................................https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/service-members-vets-fight-quality-education-heres-how-dahn-shaulis?trk=mp-author-card
To those defending UOP I would like to shed some light on what the other side looks like. The myth is you cannot get a job making the same money. The reality is you may not make any money if you leave UOP. Jobs paying the same amount exists but not in the educational field.
I solicited feedback from three different companies in education as to why, with my qualifications, they would not hire me. All three said the same thing. They were concerned with my previous employer and why I stayed with an unethical company for so long. Of course my reaction was shock. I would have thought my masters and skills were what was making me over qualified. Instead, working for UOP was more detrimental to me obtaining another job once I left the company.
I've heard CEO's of UOP state they like the fact that UOP has brand recognition. Brand recognition does not equate to reputation. If your reputation is crap then you put your students and your employees futures in jeopardy.
I cannot control how a company that I work for operates. I tried to make a difference at UOP and was consistently shut down. Not being Mormon did not help. Several Mormons were promoted over me even though they lacked the basic skills or degrees to perform managerial duties. Now in hind site, I realize another reason I was not promoted was because I have ethical boundaries. If I had known what I know now I would have never started to work for UOP.
The issues I am presenting have lead me to further investigate courses of action that will help governmental bodies wanting to shut down UOP. It saddens me that this is my only recourse but I know a lengthy lawsuit would result in nothing. I am a well informed individual who was privy to the inner workings of UOP. This isn't about revenge, or political agenda, or propaganda against for profit schools. I simply do not want the leaders of UOP to damage any more lives then they already have.
@HrxgT8D-2tky, your few words speak volumes--about you. If you are (or were) management, you must know how other people think of you by reading the entries about you and people like you. Maybe you don't care. But deep down you know you are (or were) doing wrong. You can rationalize your behavior away with techniques of neutralization, and perhaps find some kind of addiction to numb the guilt, but that only goes so far.
Cumdump has been trolling all the layoff boards for years stirring up trouble. He makes his living off other peoples pain and misery, employees and students. Check out all the other layoff boards, go back as far as you can and you'll see him starting trouble.
I know your angle Cam. Clearly play the stock. I see you trolling the Yahoo message boards trying to influence stock movement. You talk about unethical but you sir are a hypocrite. College is worthless unless you are becoming a Dr or Lawyer. Other than that, degrees are not needed.
I know you Phoenix defenders have no ability to get another job that pays what the Phoenix does.. but please stop trying to compare uop to a state school...it's pathetic. Cohort default rates in student loans at the uop are drastically higher then the average for state schools and private traditional schools. There is a reason why uop had the crap reputation it does and that reputation was forged by years of slimy sales people and enabling management. Most students at uop would be better served at the community college where the Pell pays the full amount but uop knows that THOSE students are lazy asses who won't get off their assto go to the school to do anything. Uop essentially baby talks a student into the loans for an education they will never get the investment back on. Uop marketing targets the welfare queen, druggie and antisocial using enrollment reps that have no issue in doing what is required to hit numbers. ASU U of A and NAU don't have the same issues as UOP because they don't use endless cubes of slimebag telemarketers to sell a welfare queen a stipend check (which is exactly how they sell them). State schools have minimum standards, uop doesn't. But it doesn't matter, uop is being sold to a private equity firm where layoffs will happen and salaries will be brought down....happy happy day.
@HrxgT8D-1qfd, the meltdown started when University of Phoenix stopped innovating and started preying upon consumers. They also started melting down as banks and other large investors demanded bigger profits with no thoughts of the long-term consequences. At the executive level, Todd S. Nelson was one of those people who ruined University of Phoenix's competitive advantage. The information is becoming well documented. See what John D. Murphy and Robert W. Tucker said. ...................................................https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/apollo-group-sinking-ship-dahn-shaulis?trk=mp-author-card
Most non-profit schools are just as unethical but they get away with it. This melt down happened because Obama wanted it to happen. It was all part of his "Operation Choke Point" that he used the FDIC against to shut down businesses he didn't like. He took over the student loan industry, created the CPB then has Harris and the others start filing all the suits against these schools. This way he could use the DOE to withhold money from the schools in the same manner he used the FDIC against the banks to withhold services to gun dealers and such. So the way I see it, you are just part of Obama and Hillarys plan to have the government in control of everything.
(Forgot to include my name and contact information on previous post). @HrxgT8D-1fvi, you sound like management trying to use "techniques of neutralization" to rationalize unethical (and perhaps criminal) behavior. Let's so how long UoPX can keep it up. And apparently you haven't read my articles...................................https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/elites-profit-us-college-meltdown-continues-dahn-shaulis?trk=mp-author-card

Camden really is a Libtard. Shim seems to think only for profit schools participate in shady practices. You don't see this trans bashing ASU. That school has perfected the diploma mill concept and idiots like Cam eat it up thinking that because it is state backed it is better. The government could not run a 7-11 store properly and he thinks they can actually run a school. Cam is nothing but a short seller. Shim is all over the Yahoo message boards trying to drive stocks down.
@HrxgT8D-1oki, Corinthian Colleges took itself down--with the help of Wells Fargo and other investors. Laurie McConnell's case was one of many; it was just more dramatic than the other cases that taken together indicated a systematic pattern of deception and fraud. Of course there were employees at Heald, Everest, and Wyotech who tried to do the best they could--but they were often silenced (the same thing happens at Apollo Group/University of Phoenix). Kamala Harris was right for getting the California Attorney General's Office to do the right thing after Jerry Brown let them slide. P.S. I've gotten emails recently about experienced UoPX EAs getting pressured to get "regs" by any means possible. Let's see how long that strategy can work.
Congratulations Cumdump Krud on your part in helping to take down Corinthian Colleges. There were a lot of hard working people that tried every day to do what was righr for the students and even worked with students on their free time to help them. There were many campuses that really cared and made sure they were following the rules. But because of you and those liberal A-holes Harprin and Durbin and especially the wicked witch in California over 7000 hard working people lost their jobs. Now you have a government contracted debt collection company that has no idea what they're doing running the schools and continues to do the same things CCi was doing. I guess that's ok because Zenith Education Group is listed as "non-profit". You're just another bleeding heart liberal idiot that thinks everything should be FREE. Go feel the Bern and use your transgender bathroom Cumdump.
I REG tards all day and send them to the bigger tards known as the finance advisers. Let the tards deal with the tards.
Students with learning disabilities are given accommodations. But they have to self report for privacy reasons. And faculty alert the ADA office if a student self reports. The only issues I've had with students who clearly have developmental problems is when students don't self report.
They got rid of that dumb coont ombudsman? Good. She was a wh--e
@REG!, for your information, I did report Corinthian Colleges two years ago when an Everest librarian, Laurie McConnell reached out to me. I connected her to David Halperin (Huffington Post) and the story found its way to other news outlets. See the link below. I also reported University of Phoenix for a similar scandal (several UoPX profs in Georgia were forced to pass students or be fired. One prof told me all about it--and produced documents). But the University of Phoenix story didn't get picked up. The prof was concerned that the administrators above her would even hurt her physically because they had ties to unsavory individuals. .......................................http://www.huffingtonpost.com/davidhalperin/for-profit-college-enroll_b_5433550.html
@REG!, your boss is unethical if UoPX recruits people but does not have adequate services for people with learning disabilities. The idea that anyone has a "right to attend" is superceded by professional ethics. You know that what you and others are doing is wrong if you do not challenge your boss in writing. And because so may EAs are not challenging their bosses, University of Phoenix will continue to fail.
Uop doesn't have an ombudsman anymore asswipe guess u missed that
It's easy, dumbass. Make sure you document and report( contact UOP ombudsman) the manager forcing you to do the unconscionable and send the person to a local community college. See, it's not that hard, you amoral POS.
And there werent that many poor kids mostly bc they have admissions requirements.
Funny, I make six digits as an FM. Never quitting this gravy gig. I don't do anything all day and work about two days a week.
Exactly there is so much evidence but nothing happens. Nothing will happen. Non profits and profits are doing the same. Big money in higher education. Same old same old
Shut up
You aren't going to be working there for 62k much longer...you can simply refuse to do it.
