No thanks, 4nkc. I'm the kind of person who doesn't need to kowtow to any company or anyone. I would tell my manager to his/her face, quickly but respectfully, if I am opposed to something that goes contrary to my beliefs or sense of decency.

Chevron has already marked you for the cut. You could survive if you put on a convincing act that you are among the LGBT community and have an intimate relationship with one of the Chevron untouchables. I know that may be a lot to go through to save your job. Is it worth having sex with a 350 lb female manager?

@HnosQgD-3mbd, Yes, you taught me that you are asshurt because you are deadwood and don't have a chance of keeping your job, Chump.

No, you being are the chump, @3yxs. I'm a Chevron employee and a "Transition Position" at this company does not mean what you think it does at Shell or BP. Here at Chevron, an employee who is in a Transition Position, only has it until the transition is complete. It is for all intent and purposes, a temporary position. The OP is asking what are the realistic chances of someone in a position that is transitory, to get another permanent job within the organization. Did I teach you something today, Chump?

OP. Of you are on a transition job, you already have a job. You are another troll. Move on to the Shell Layoff site or perhaps BP. We're on to you here. Chump.

Fair to middlin, unless you are a transgender and need to use the bathroom. Then your chances are good that you will find 2 to pick from.

In a TP you can apply for posted jobs within chevron but will not be allowed to post during next PDC or downsizing.

Your chances of staying on with Chevron are not high. Not as long as the oil price future is bleak. Just as others have stated, do your job well, but try to stay positive. Use this time to network and look outside the company for work. You stand a better chance of finding s new job if you are currently employed.

Minimal. Accept it for the package, but start interviewing now. Most transitions are going to older people who want to retire & its offered as a period of knowledge transfer.

You have been layed off in reality. Chevron wants you to work hard and make a sales package for them under the hopes that they will find you a job when it is done. You are being left to turn out the lights as you walk out the door. Good luck. The faster you work the quicker your done with the company.
