1vyc: Hope it's Bryan.
I have a new lead that is making my life miserable.
I have my resignation letter typed out already.. has a lot of choose words describing the frustration with my micro-managing, soul crushing, lead... expecting a call any day and will send this cleaned up version of the letter to his VP.
OP is high as a MoFo
Managers/leads should not harass engineers asking about progress of tasks every day/hour. Just assign the task and a settled upon due date and check on the progress on a need basis.
A good engineer will of course be working on the task diligently and let the manager know early enough when he truly believe due date may shift. A well adjusted relationship between the lead and the engineer will also result in he voluntarily taking on more tasks if he can accommodate and do a lot of multi tasking.
Only stupid managers/leads will keep nagging and questioning and will be more concerned about how the minutes are spent. Rather then manage the assigned task these idiots seem to be consumed in managing engineers time. Quiet insulting and condescending.
These idiots have turned a lot of good self-motivated engineers into walking zombies, frustrated and looking outside whenever they get a chance.... and aching to write that resignation letter.
@HgoULcA-jjj: I totally agree with you that people leave bad managers not company. The manager in my team is uncivilized Chinese and due to his bad work ethics some people have left already while some are thinking of leaving. It is so sad to see a great American company is being ruined by bad foreign managers.
jjj is spot on and it is the reason why so many have left graphics.
great sarcasm
op is hr moron
OP is from HR ; turn over is good for Q as it brings new blood to workplace like H-1Bs Indians who will work as slaves in meat grinder sweatshop factory.
the flowing of human resource is not a bad thing for a company.
take a look at Amazon... a significant high percentage of their employees will leave in their first two years, but they are still a strong company in their business domain.
QC should face the reality that so many folks are leaving or have already left. so it's time to do some good and hire more new grads who are eagerly seeking a job.
QCOM is the best--
except for all the rest....
San Diego is the best city to live in? Tell that to all the homeless people using tarps for shelter, who the gubmint ignores unless they can make em money sitting in prison. You people live in a bubble.
too many Indians!! lol! :)
