Everything he did, he did it for you.
Bryan Adams what let go?
@GWvmftp-1aym You must be taling about Russell Vallejo sleeping. Whats even worse was that he was f---ing the cleaning lady while he was supposed to be working. And when the office found out they fired the cleaning lady. Talk about a dirty job.
Do you understand that most of these older people opted to leave on their own?
Some one said about GM Ops anger issues, right on. This gal has no idea what she is talking about and is just a shiny talker. Bigger problem is it has already started to trickle down as a behavior. Previous GM Ops (Puckett) was really competent knew what he was doing and was able to set SJV on a success path. But this newbie is relentless in taking down structures, is quick to react on limited input and is a control freak. ESP in SJV was brutal and moral breaking for less experienced workforce, especially the way they took some of their Sr leaders to gallows (like FE manager B Adams and Finance Manager B Taylor) was demotivating for the rest of workforce. They both are being replaced by shinny sweet talking hi pots with no roots in reality. I was able to survive this ESP but will start working to look options and diversify my career. Chevron way, OE and human energy proved out to be just words especially the way ESP was conducted in SJV. And not to forget the promotions for favorites the replaced a well rounded FESupervisor in TTA projects by letting him go and promoted an introvert N Ferrier. Younger Piron who is the son of an Ops Area manager was made supervisor wow thanks to ESP that worked well for the family. Where is conflict of interest policy? it's a Wild West here. Anyways enough for now.
Complicated and nerve wrecking process for the end result. There are better ways to incentivize retirement and cut the bottom 5 percent. I will remember this esp as not a reduction exercise but how unfairly people got promoted in adt
Kissing up is the only way to go in SJV D&C. From the start the ESP was a joke. People with no experience or others sleeping at the rig all night while BP take their pictures were protected while hard workers were shown the door. Glad I'm moving on.
Wasn't esp about lay-offs. Why were there promotions?
You think asset development has trouble? Take a look at Operations. At least ADT GM makes sense. The word on the street is that the Ops GM is arrogant, with anger management issues, interrupts everyone and unable to take advice from people who know operations. I am not sure I've ever seen her in the field! I hope these are just rumors, but it makes me worried about where i am working.
That's exactly right. They are rewarding visibility (projects) instead of competence. This also explains first poster's comments about why incompetence continues to prevail amongst some leadership.
field was cut too deep, they should have cut projects people. makes no sense. but then again, nothing makes sense in Chevron Bakersfield.
overall, not many changes... but there are some brow-rasing promotions.. especially in AD. People with no technical performance record are being put in senior positions or project manager positions. It's insane and de-motivating. Although sometimes hard work can make up for lack of experience, these folks don't have that record. I guess kissing up does get you to places. It's shame for their direct reports. They are really worried and disappointed.
