Qxy, you are correct I am still employed, but I do respect the fact that out 60k people there are folks within the company that may be more qualified than me in my current role. Not arrogant enough to think i am the only person qualified for my job. Most of you folks on here Have a hard time swallowing that truth.

The Grand Plan is to lay off 95% of the oil industry people within 2-3 years, it means the western oil industry, this is not including national oil companies. There is no need anymore to have the western style Giants and Independents in the new world, because there is no oil available for them to explore and develop. There is no competence and skills in the western companies anymore, as the oldest generation is leaving.

Although it's my understanding that if I am to receive an offer I would have had it by now.

Previous poster must still be employed. Possibly an uppity, arrogant, condescending chevroid type. To the OP, I hope you ONLY wait 6-12 months if you are lucky. Probably more like 12-24 months. Most new hiring will be word of mouth, not advertised.
