@bvm I don't work in Chevron HR.
I have to agree with ASM....
@GOgNLau-bvm, Seriously? If you have internet access, you are allowed to read and post here. Period. HR/management/Chevron/Shell/XOM/Doctors/Lawyers/Indian Chiefs/Retirees/Unemployed/Your 5 year old kid/Your Grandma/The lady who cleans toilets at 1400 in Houston/your dog that you taught to use a PC in Germany.
This is a public, globally accessible website with no restrictions for viewing or posting. Many non-Chevron,non-American/anti-Christian/Anti-Big-Oil/and just anti-capitalistic nut-jobs as well as people impersonating Chevron personnel and people lying about things in general routinely post here. That's why if nothing else. most of the posts here are meaningless and carry no weigh at all.
@qqe good post. Are you HR? If yes, are you allowed to read posts here? Not trolling, just truly curious what HR thinks about us talking here.
No, they don't. Bearing in mind that the person across the table is having a much worse day than them, it's also a terrible day for the HR person. I've been there. Telling someone they no longer have a job through no fault of their own is very tough but you do have to try to keep your emotions out of it and remain professional. Falling apart won't do anyone any good. That being said, I always try to operate with empathy knowing that someone's life is going to change dramatically. Do you really think all those HR folks are going to have a job after all these people are laid off? Do the math? They won't all be needed either. They're just as scared as everyone else.
Please, they are a bunch of silly ninnies that could care less about anyone but themselves. Fact. They are gossiping and laughing at everyone else, fact. Totally inept. Fact. Can't get back to you with an answer before you have received the correct answer elsewhere. Fact. Any fool can be in HR. Fact. Before they were called HR, some actually cared. Bot anymore! Period.
No, they don't. They are just doing their jobs.
