Severance checks are paid on the normal payroll schedule, on the 7th and 22nd of the month. Depending on when your signed papers were processed, your check will be paid on one of these two dates. Also allow 2-3 days for it to arrive by First Class US Mail (not FedEx). So, if you expected in last payroll period and it didn't come, then wait for the next payroll date.
I didn't receive it. Not yet, but I haven't asked them why. It's probably coming soon. If the OP didn't get his, may he should wait or call his HR business partner or sue Chevron for invalidating their contract.
Practically any employee who works an 8 hour day is an hourly clerk who works 5 days a week, not the 9/80 schedule. So, @1gnq is a jealous person who sees the higher paid salaried employees doing their thing.

NO, the folks that are working offshore (the ones actually making the money) worked at least 12 hrs a day.
Those of us that support operations work on average 10 hours a day.
