@orub+12UgJTJW I would suggest anyone that has PPTO they should use it up and keep a minimal amount, because don't be surprised Walmart will try to screw you over. They will do a change that you can call in more, but no more PPTO (unless your state requires a minimum amount).

Yep, f— you walmart! Stole how many million dollars worth of accrued sick time from your best employees?! Then cut our PTO accruel rates? And now rumors of cutting PPTO? It's bound to happen, these mo–ns have no clue how to run a successful company. Just keep pissing on your "associates" and see how hard we work. Here's a clue, all the good workers have left to work for better pay and treatment, the rest of us don't give a sh– and do as little work as humanly possible. Please don't forget to figure that all into your cost cutting measures, id–tS!

It wouldn't surprise me. My PPTO will be wasted with my 192 sick hours. I really have no incentive anymore not to abuse the system it seems.

@12UgJTJW-4ppl Well on your store you got a good team. My night shift they wont approve the days unless you beg. I don't like that I like them to be fair as if I am fair to them.

@12UgJTJW-4yof Thats another problem when they run skeleton crews as well. Despite we sell so much at night they don't want to hire people. Also I know some people that been working for the company 3+ years and still part time.

If any reason they are getting rid of PPTO its obviously so they can save even more money and cut cost. They will probably just cut it more and reduce it to half of what you use to get before.

i used it for thanksgiving and it wiped the 2 points off. that could be one reason they are doing away with it because they want people to suffer and not enjoy anythng.

This is what happens when you make a policy like this and choose to run a skeleton crew on top of it all while cutting hours making it even easier for the shorter shift to be covered by the PPTO...This is all walmarts problem and another example of their short sightedness not the associates who use their "benefit" as they see necessary

The PPTO is very abused in our store. People get a couple of hours and just leave mid shift leaving the rest of us to clean up what they left behind.
Our management is extremely good in granting requests, but the lazies just go on abusing the PPTO and ruin it for the rest of us.

@12UgJTJW-1blk Very truth I learned that later on, but the supervisors at night get affected by it. I mean if your very sick you will call in, but some use it because they request it and get the day denied so option two is to yes call in and than use the hours to clean the point and get paid that day. It makes it hard on the supervisor, but at the same time they are at fault because they don't approve the days. You have a set amount of employees set a few call in and they have to do changes to do the job they had planned. Like me for example I didn't want to call in I just wanted to requested. Was pending for two weeks (and I know they saw it because they have denied days I requested in a few days later).

I do see PPTO getting phased out they can always reduce the hours you get to half. Say you were getting a day a month that can become now every 2 months you get a day etc.

You aren't using your ppto correctly. In the onewire system if you use it under sick hours it automatically removes occurrences lol. You don't actually need to have them approve ppto. You could simply not show up to work use up 8 hours of ppto under sick hours and not get an occurrence lol

@12UgJTJW-uey In my store I feel PPTO is abused by management. When I finally got PPTO I wanted to be professional about it and I requested two days. They wouldn't touch it, was pending for over 2 weeks. It was also in the start of January when holiday time is over and hours go down. The only reason I got it approved was because I asked another person from management that was their in night time and approved it later. Thats why some people end up calling in because if you request it and they don't approve it than you end up calling in.

@12UgJTJW-teu As for that yes some states (I stay in California) and you get 3 days. The thing is in my state I did the math and I estimated if I work I would get around 7 to 8 days of PPTO. They can't eliminated here in my state, but they can for sure cut it down to 3 days which would make it less of a reason to work for Walmart.

I wouldn't be surprised they will restructure PPTO and cut in some states and reduce it in others. Just another reason to not work for Walmart.

Ppto is required in quite a few states so I don’t see how that is going away.

Thank god. Tired of call-ins running rampant in the store.

I heard the PPTO is going away. Not sure about the attendance policy. Several reliable sources have confirmed the PPTO is going bye bye.
