Marvin’Merlin The Magician’ decided to strip meaningful info from the name tags. I am somewhat surprised they just didn’t put our store id’s on the name tags. After all we are just a bunch of numbers to management. A touch of socialism where everyone is a droid.
Me - I’ll stick around to watch the whole magic act implode. But we will be the ones who suffer because Merlin and his henchmen will have collected their multi-million dollar perks and be gone.
Yep, laying off associates so we can better service the customer is a joke. It is all about the money.
What a joke this company has become. Maybe Merlin should survey the customers and see if they are pleased with his decisions.
It makes me sick that corporate cant respect us enough to explain even a simple change like this. They just keep shoving down changes with no information, treating us like mindless cattle.
Marvin, we are people with lives and our customers are people with lives too. WE are the ones who give you your multimillion dollar bonus every year. Thousands of us busting our asses every day. YOU need to show some respect. WE are the ones who make the shareholders happy. Not your copycat failed ideas.
all of management told us all at meeting that they need us to ask friends if they want jobs. no one is coming to the hiring events, 60% fail d–g tests, and they literally cant get anyone to work at lowes.
this is a fact. those that do come on, leave immediately.
best thing to do now is quit, then reapply asking for way more money
Lowes Corporate ONLY acts when there are legalities!
If they list your position, then use you elsewhere as they have been doing daily, its a legal issue.
How can they evaluate you, or write you up, or do anything when you are constantly tasked away from your primary roles and responsibilities?
They cant! Its a legal issue. So what does Lowe's do? Hire more staff, and provide the proper resources to allow you to function in a safe, professional environment doing your corporate dictated primary responsibilities? NO!
They change the fkg name tag!!
Look people. The so-called "leaders" at corporate are 100% incompetent scmbgs. They are literally, worthless, and have those positions through friends. Not by competence, hard work, or intelligence. They scr*w up everything they put their minds to. All while believing themselves, they are a gift to the corporation and deserve awards! They are perceptual thinking, mindless, minions.
Im told to do things, and I say no. I show them my corporate laid out responsibilities and offer to call Marvin via conference call so he can decide if I should sell, or sweep trash. If I should help customers, or do arts and crafts in the back room.
Name tags and positions!!!! LOL - We never had a name or position anyway. Its all BS because corp is a baseless, subjective, arbitrary entity that has not laid down an explicit structure, philosophy, mission statement, or guiding principles. Even store management is lost and cannot operate.
Just tattoo a serial number on my wrist and get it over with.

the whole purpose of eliminating everything on up to SM is because kronos will now be scheduling for lack of better words "the lower positions" all over the store. and making ALL name tag just your name somehow eliminates the mental barrier for associates who refuse to leave the area for which they were hired into. in some ways i get it....cross training is important for a number of reasons. but knowing how they will abuse it....instead of having one person assigned in every department...youll now be assigned "areas" of the store. or in reality....theyll determine, say, 6 CSA's are all thats needed to cover the floor. as always there are better, more efficient ways to "cross train" associates.

Marvin has made Lowe’s a toxic employer if you work in the stores. The only respect and money is given to corporate employees!!!
I mean, Bruce Willis did. But he was dead the whole time at the end anyway.
We are now experts everywhere, dont you see? Now you can quote a flooring job, go down and cut lumber, and we are expected to know the whole store. We are witnessing history right now! How many have lived through a train wreck and survived?

With the way people are jumping ship, corporate probably doesn’t want your years of service on the name tag because they don’t want the general public to know the employee was hired just a few weeks prior at one of the many hiring events where anyone with a pulse gets a job.
Do they have years on them, or are they not worried about any of them being there long enough to serve customers since whenever.
Should have just put sales id...thats all we are
