I heard that there will be cut backs in the risk adjustment area. There seems to be a lot of cross training going on between coders and auditors.

My guess is layoff will be Thursday as we have a town hall meeting scheduled for Monday
THANK YOU!
I believe it’s enterprise wide. Didn’t hear of any departments specifically included nor excluded. Just sharing what I know for sure.
Is it for HAH Telephonic?
Yes. Managers were notified this week of the numbers on their teams they need to cut. Look for RIFs the last week of October.
I respect everyone’s opinion. Humana will lay off associates if they are not making money. It does not matter if they have invested money in a program or not. These new members are not answering. They have already paused moving members for the month. I think a lot will be based on open enrollment numbers.
Humana is a large employer with many divisions and departments. Humana at Home is just a small fish in the Humana sea. Humana is always looking for ways to save money and reinvent itself. Unfortunately this includes RIFs. There doesn't seem to be a return on investment on calls to members. If these calls are not preventing high cost services then why make them? It doesn't take a genius to figure out where money is being wasted. Case management programs are a big money drain. Paying nurses 65-70k a year to spend a couple of hours on the phone each day while reaching 4-5 members is what's draining Humana. Wake up people, if you're not making an impact you may very well get the axe!
you are deluded if you think these insensitive dollar worshipers appreciate you, your talents or anything that you contribute to Humana. You are a means to end of more dollars. That said, same goes for the marks that they insure
I agree with the last post. With new care plan system... they wouldn’t soak the extra $ into the HCM RN program. I don’t feel another layoff coming as I did in the past.
WTF? Come back when you're sober.
We will see.
I’ve lasted many years here, survived several layoffs. Every one of them was predicted here and my intuition and “the signs” said it would happen... and it did. This time, I am not getting any of those signs or intuitive warnings. I honestly think for the first time, these rumors are false.
