Hearing rumours that most HCL staff in Canada were provided with their notice. Any experiences or anyone have verification?

The offer letter from HCL states we will receive the same severance as Xerox policy. Since we are now locked out of Web Benefits with Xerox we cant look and see what that policy is.

There were a number of notices sent out in central Canada on Friday. 60 day notice. Severance will be provided in accordance with years at xerox at time of termination.

We have not heard of any notices handed out to the Xerox centers on east coast of canada. Everyone is just waiting.
If notices are going out there doesnt seem to be anyone confirming any details on here of what the notice is.

Are they doing 60 day working notice? Are you terminated on the spot? Are there any severance or just the 60 days notice?

The sad truth is that the people making the decisions don’t even know what is involved in the positions they are impacting. Because they see the jobs as low level (more than one level below c-suite), employees to fill the position are interchangeable. As long as you have a warm body it will get done. There have been enough experienced Xerox’s to plug the gaps but the more of those people who are laid off, outsourced & offshored the more the gaps will start to impact the business. Of course, the current administration knows they are goi g too far but they are hoping that they can sell before the house of cards comes crashing down.

What groups in Canada and Ireland were moved over to HCL?

@11Y7Z9YJ-1reu, HCLs greed or HCLs business model? They simply hire temporary support and make the hard transitions for companies who need help since they either don't know how to do it or are worried about legal/media reactions. HCLs business is growing because of companies like Xerox.

HCL is not perfect by any means but alot of the confusion has been due to the lack of understanding by the Xerox/HCL leadership when scoping out the work.

I haven't heard of any re-badged Xerox personnel being given noticed by HCL. If they were given notice, then HCL must abide by the contract where they would get severance as per Xerox standards ... and not just 60 days notice.

Reports are many HCL rebadged in Canada received their 60 day notice on Friday. Very sad & awful.

Canada had some notices the very first few weeks when this started in April.
More will be coming for certain.
It’s only Monday yet so no bets on even lasting this week.
Zero faith left in this to survive it from most Canadians I work with.
