It’s been almost a week since many of us could access our network share or gpid drives. Dealing with India is useless! Each day a new contractor tries the same exact method and same results. Nothing! What would take our former IT department 5 minutes to correct is now days or weeks. It’s an offshore boiler room of people who can barely speak English. What a sad state of affairs this place has sunk to. I hope IK is happy with her legacy.

We don't know, hence not our problem. Hence solved.
We lost a bundle of co-workers that had great capabilities to help us deliver the best results. I am a Sales Finance and FP&A IT former employee and from my perspective, our IT and back-office that were outsourced were best in class when it came to execution. It is essential that account integrity, work-flow of orders and accounting treatments are executed to ensure that we reach desirable KPIs like net Sales, Net Revenue and all other many activities that contributes to the ESP gains QTR after QTR. IT and all our back-office co-workers always delivered the best service and everyone should be proud of them. I know I am and miss everyone that I had the precious opportunity to work with. We used to say Cash is King, you can sell all day but without execution of the OTC cycle and without IT support, we would not have produced great results. It was a Team effort that got us were this Company is today and beyond. Here are mu suggestions: those affected by the lay-offs should have no problem moving forward. Be prepared and gather a good resume, start net-working and have an exit plan in the event that you are let go. You have a lot to offer and you should be proud of your accomplishments. Good luck and success.
Newsflash to @11FVjArd-2sao those manufacturing supply chains sales and marketing functions while yes important would not have gotten to where they are to have made the company what it was without the support of the IT people you so flippantly dismiss. Everyone is an expense in the grand scheme of any corporation so get off your high horse these are talented people who have their all to the company.
Newsflash, PepsiCo is not an IT company and I doubt IKN would give it a second thought. You IT people out there need to realize that the business is marketing and supply chain, not the mindless nonsense that happens over at Parkwood. IT is a cost center, not a profit center and an expense at PepsiCo which has questionable value.
It’s much better once you get out of Pepsico. I know everyone says that but it’s true. You’re being worked like dogs and get no appreciation. Living day to day wondering if you’ll survive the next cut. This is not the way it is outside of PepsiCo. Get your resume out there and start looking.
Why does any of this surprise anyone?
Get what is paid for and additionally any PEP employees left will have it on their PDR to take the hit for the vendors inabilities.
Same story..different year..
Next year will be even worse
A bunch more roles are in transition for end of year
In a way I am relieved I will not be around in 2020 to deal with the mess
