Has anyone heard anything about the mid-October lay-off. It seemed certain at the last executive management meeting that it was going to happen.

I know layoffs have happend in the last week or so and we are expecting a few more this week. We'll see. This is Fort Lauderdale Office.
Not heard of any mass layoffs.
But if it happens I assume it will be before Christmas as they always do or after quarter ending.
Found out that 10 folks in finance in FTL last day will be EOM. This is probably not to disrupt EOQ activities. However, those positions are being filled in Costa Rica for less than half the cost. At least they were given a heads up and not just "tapped on the shoulder" the day of.

Yeah I was walking down the hall and Henshaw was out there talking, smoking a c-gare–e. He was laughing, maniacally, talking about his master plan to lay off EVERYONE in the entire company except himself!!!! Apparently, that will reduce labor costs so he can make even more money!!! We are all doomed! Why oh why did I give up my job at Wal-Mart?!?!?!
